A Letter to the Girl who is Broken

facebook

Hey girl,

I know it’s probably not a great time. I know you’re over the “it’s all going to be okay” and the “it’s not the end of the world” talks. Me too. If I’m being completely honest, I’m going through it too. It absolutely stinks. And, it can seem like the end of the world. Heartbreak and disappointment are some of the worst feelings. I know from experience. It is awful. Period.

I’m not here to tell you to get over it. I’m not here to tell you that you shouldn’t be upset. I’m here to tell you that you are loved and that you will get through this. You are exceptional and you are worth it. Tough times will come in life, but it is how you handle them that matters. Are you going to let life beat you down and give up? Or are you going to get back up and keep fighting your fight? I pray that you choose the latter. Beautiful girl, you were made for a divine purpose. You have a skill that no one else has. You are the only one who is perfectly equipped to fulfill God’s purpose for your life. Don’t make Him use someone else.

The enemy attacks those who he knows are on the right path. I’ve recently heard from a pastor that he puts smoke in your house to deter you from pursuing your purpose. I can tell you THAT IS THE TRUTH. In fact, I’ve felt like I’ve had the smoke, fire, and everything else thrown at me in the past week. I know how you feel. I’ve felt like the walls of my life were crumbling down on top of me. These are dangerous thoughts. The enemy is trying to throw you into a storm to distract you from what God is doing in your life. Don’t let him win. HE has already won! I know that this is going to hurt. I know it will take awhile to get over it. I know that you can’t just snap out of it. I get it. But, please know that you are a victor.

You have all of the tools to get through this. Anything that is God’s will, will absolutely come to pass. If it is of God, it will come back to you. The storm you are going through may be the training you need to prepare you for your future. You are getting stronger. You were made for something amazing.

This storm will pass. Hold your head high and eyes up. Pretty girl, you are a victor. God is all you need. You are already complete. Don’t let the smoke distract you from your purpose. It is okay to cry. But, don’t let it stop you. You were made for something great. Take time to grieve and then wipe those tears and do your Kingdom work!

Xoxo,

Taylor
